Two Become One

Tiki and Boots were sleepig on a different spot when suddenly Tiki decided to join Boots.  Boots was so weak to refuse.

Remember Burglar?

Do you remember Burglar?  He was the feral cat that was attacked by other cats and severely wounded.  We took him in that day and made an appointment with the veterinary doctor and got spayed the same day of his appointment. Here is the very first post about Burglar.  Hope you get a chance to read and follow his updates. Appreciated much.

Now, Burglar is a very happy cat.  No longer a feral.  He lives inside our house.  I cannot let him around my other cats, though.  I have 13 other cats.  He is cannot be around other cats, for some reason.  He is very sweet to humans but aggressive to other animals.  He has his own room and if he wanna go out, we let him out.  However, we are making sure that he is inside when my husband and I are going out and it's night time.  I don't allow him to stay outdoor anymore. 

We live by the roadside and it is not pet-friendly due to passing cars and buses. Burglar is happy with us and I am sure of that.  Though, he is separated with my other cats, him and the other cats can still play through a tiny hole on the doorway.  I just do not want them to have a collision, most especially with Boots.  Boots claims himself as the Alpha Cat.  I love them, nonetheless.

A Very Spoiled Cat

I can say that they all live in my house.  My 14 kitties are definitely spoiled.  They know how to make me get off my feet and head to the kitchen.  How can I say NO to my beautiful furry babies?  Though they eat three times a day, I make sure that they were not over-fed.  I measure the amount of food that I am giving them each meal.  

One thing that is nice, my kitties loves drinking water.  I do not have any issues with them when it comes hydration.  One of them even learned how to turned on the faucet so she could drink but she hasn't figure out how to turn it off.  My husband changed the handle or  else, he and I will drown.  I woke up one morning and the water in the sink was overflowing.  That's when we decided to change the faucet knob.  Funny because my kitty was trying to turn the faucet on but she cannot, so she looked at me and "meowed" like she was begging me to turn the water on.  Silly cat.

 

Chiquita

Chiquita was rescued from an abusive owner. She was underweight and not trusting anyone.  When I first got her, she was so wild. Nobody can touch her.  It was almost impossible to take her to the vet because of her behavior.  It took me a year for her to trust me.

Though she is still aggressive sometimes,  I can now pet her and she lets me hold and carry her.  For me, that's an achievement; from being wild to mellow.  I love Chiquita to death.  She is one special girl. ♥♥♥♥♥

A Burglar's Life

Mid-afternoon, sun shining, i brought my summer stuff out with me even though it's only Spring, so what!  I love to hear the birds, watch the bright skies
and the pure clouds, but there us someone that's loving it more than I do. The picture tells it all, right?

Yahtzee ~ The Little Princess

Yahtzee is one of the 5 litter that were born in the backyard. When they were tiny, Yahtzee was the only who was not afraid whenever I came by to see and feed them.
Yahtzee knew her name since the day I told her that Yahtzee is her name.  There will be more stories of her and her siblings.

Burglar Again

Here is an update on Burglar. During winter, he stayed indoors.   That's a good 3months but he survived. FYI, Burglar was a feral. I used the word "was" for he is not a feral anymore. He is my kitty now. We had him fixed so even if he stays outside he is not going to multiply again.

Anyways,  since it's Spring time, I am sure ge would stay outside most of the day.  He comes in at night, though. See thst happy face?

Good Night Tiki

When it's time for bed, Tiki is the first one that's ready for. Love it when she snores. Gotta say good night to all. My eyes can't hold it any longer...

Xena, The Warrior Kitty ~ NOT

Cat Burglar

There was a cat who would always ask for food every time he sees me or my husband out.  The kitty was very friendly and he let us pet him knowing he's a feral. Feral cats are known for being aloof or not not trusting, but this kitty was different.  

I named the cat BURGLAR. If I have to look for him, I would just call his name and he is there, instantly! Ahaha...


He knows what time I feed my kitties, he would show up, too.  This morning we took him to the vet to get fixed.  Veterinarians neuter or spay feral cats and stray dogs, FOR FREE!  The vets loved his name and called him Cat Burglar.

Other male feral kitties would gang up on him and they beat him really bad.  The vet put some antibiotic on his wounds and gave him a shot for pain and it is good for two weeks.  He was spayed today and I am thinking of keeping him if he would let us or build him a small shack so he can stay there where I can see him.

This might be his first time to ever sleep on a clean surface.  He was snoring.  See how comfortable this Cat Burglar could get, ahahaha...


Burglar is no longer a feral.  He found a home, a home that will take care of him forever...

Boots - The Handsome Kitty

Boots is a gentle big baby.  We got him in September of 2010.  His previous owner died and the relatives dumped him in a shelter.  Wasn't it too bad?  No one wanted this handsome fellah?  If I was one of the relatives, I sure would take this handsome kitty.  Anyways, when we saw him at the shelter, husband held him and Boots purred nonstop!!! Yes, he's a purring machine. 

He is my husband's couch and lap kitty.  Of course, I love him, too.  He is my baby. =)

Meet Chiquita

Chiquita had the saddest story of all my cats.  She was abused by her previous owner.  I found her on Facebook.  I supports animal resuers on FB. One morning, I saw a post about a cat who wants get killed by the owner if no one would step up and adopt her before 6PM.  Rikki's Refuge stepped up and rescued her.  I volunteered to adopt Chiquita and a chip in circulates the FB walls, that was for Chiquita's plane ticket and for her escort - a RR volunteer.  Yes, she traveled all the way from W.Virginia to Michigan. With the love of different individuals, Chiquita finally made it home - here with me, with us.  

Chiquita is very happy in her new home.  I cannot imagine a day without her.  She loves me more than anything. =)

Crazy Cat Lady

I have had cats since I was 4 years old and since then I don't remember not having at least one cat in my house.  I had 7 in college and I have 7 today.  All were rescued.  Last September, 2010 when our oldest cat died, it was really sad and quiet after she passed.  I have another kitties but the oldest was my husband's and he was so devastated that his cat was gone.  So we went to the shelter and brought 2 home.  I will tell you the rest of the story later as I go along with my story.  Nonetheless, I want to introduce my households. =)

Meet Tiki, the silly.  Yes, she is the silliest among my kitties.  She might be the smallest but the craziest.  

Dusty is the youngest. She eats a lot that she grows so much and now bigger than Cookie. She is also my laundry-kitty.

 Cookie loves to watch TV, as well.  She would stop by just to watch TV or DVD movie with us.

Cookie is always shy.  The lady-like in the group but sweet and would prefer brushing than having her meal.

Boots is the only male in the clan... he's a trooper...

I still have 3 other kitties that I want you to meet, but they are dozing right now, ahihihi... You will meet them later on.
